In Revelation chapter 1 verses 9 through 20, John describes his vision of Jesus in all His glory. Jesus is depicted as the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. This powerful image reminds us of the eternal nature of our Savior.
As John falls at Jesus’ feet in awe, Jesus reassures him with words of comfort and authority. Jesus reminds John that He holds the keys to death and Hades, symbolizing His ultimate power and control over all things.
This should remind us of Jesus’ sovereignty and majesty and encourage us to trust in Him completely, knowing that He is in control of our lives and the world around us.
As you reflect on the greatness of Jesus, our Lord and Savior, place your trust in Him and find peace in His unchanging nature.
