In Revelation chapter 2 verses 1 through 7, Jesus addresses the church in Ephesus. He commends them for their hard work, perseverance, and discernment against false apostles. But, He also points out that they have forsaken their first love – Him.
This reminded me that we should constantly evaluate our relationship with God. Are we going through the motions, or are we truly passionate about Him? It’s easy to get caught up in serving and doing good works, but if our love for God isn’t at the center, it’s all in vain.
Folks, take a minute to reflect on your own heart. Are you still as in love with Jesus as when you first met Him? Maybe you need to rekindle that fire, prioritize your relationship with Him above all else, and let your actions flow from a place of genuine love and devotion.
Remember, Jesus is not just interested in your outward actions but in the state of your heart.
Until tomorrow, have a blessed evening!
