In Revelation chapter 2 verses 12 through 17 Jesus addresses the church in Pergamum. He commends them for holding fast to their faith even in the midst of persecution. But, there’s a warning, too. Jesus calls out the compromise within the church, allowing false teachings and immoral behavior to seep in.
This should remind us to stay strong in our faith and not compromise our beliefs for the sake of fitting in or avoiding conflict. We must stand firm in the truth of God’s word, even when it’s unpopular or challenging.
Take a moment to reflect on your own life. Are you standing strong in your faith, or are you being swayed by the pressures of the world?
