In Revelation chapter 10 verses 1 through 11, we see a mighty angel coming down from heaven, holding a little scroll. His appearance is awe-inspiring, with a rainbow over his head and his face shining like the sun. The angel plants one foot on the sea and one on the land, symbolizing his authority over all creation.
The angel gives John the little scroll and instructs him to eat it. John does so, and it tastes sweet in his mouth but turns bitter in his stomach. This symbolizes the bittersweet nature of God’s Word, which brings convictions and challenges and ultimately leads to growth and transformation.
This chapter should remind us of the power and authority of God’s word. Just like John, we are called to consume and digest the word of God, allowing it to transform us from the inside out. We need to embrace both the sweetness and bitterness of God’s truth, knowing that it leads to our spiritual growth and maturity.
So folks, commit yourself to God’s Word, allowing it to shape and mold you into the image of Jesus Christ. And remember, just don’t hear the word, but take it to heart, allowing it to impact every area of your life.
Have a blessed evening!
