Listen Before You Speak

It’s day 18 of our Proverbs Challenge. In chapter 18, verse 13 stood out, and it got me thinking about how often we jump to conclusions without really listening to others. Verse 13 tells us that…

“Spouting off before listening to the facts is both shameful and foolish.”

When we rush to respond, we not only miss the heart of the matter but also risk misunderstanding and conflict.

Did you know that listening is an act of love and respect. It allows us to grasp the full picture, fostering deeper connections and wisdom. Before we speak, we need to take a moment to pause, ask questions, seek clarity, and truly engage with what’s being said. It’s not just about hearing words, it’s about understanding hearts. Folks, true wisdom begins with a willingness to listen.
