Has Jesus’ Sacrifice Lost Its Meaning?

I’ve been seeing a lot here lately about the building of the 3rd temple. My question is, why is there a push to build a third temple in Jerusalem? 1st Corinthians 3:16 tell us that we are the temple of God, so if we are the temple, wouldn’t constructing a physical one make Jesus’ sacrifice seem irrelevant? I guess many Christians believe Jesus’s sacrifice wasn’t enough, that we need to return to old ways of worship.  Folks, does this align with what Scripture teaches about our identity in Jesus Christ?
