Thoughts From Proverbs 16:4

As I was reading this morning, Proverbs 16:4 caught my attention. I guess because of everything that is going on in the world and the uncertainty of what the outcome is going to be that we need to be reminded that God is sovereign over all creation. Verse 4 says…

“The Lord has made everything for its purpose, even the wicked for the day of trouble.”

To some, this verse may have a challenging concept, “the wicked,” those who act against God’s Will are part of His plan. God uses every situation, good or bad, to fulfill His ultimate purpose. Now, this doesn’t mean that God endorses evil. Rather, it calls attention to His ability to bring good out of the darkest situations. Folks, when we are faced with trials or injustice, remember that God is still at work. He can and will turn our pain into purpose and our trials into triumphs. Trust Him and let God be God!
