Well, it’s the 1st of the month, and I’m kicking off my monthly reading plan again! For years now, I’ve made it a habit to read through the Psalms, Proverbs, and the New Testament every month. Honestly, I can’t even remember when I started this journey, but I know it has changed my life.
I know you might be thinking that reading all these books is a lot, but once you establish a routine, it becomes second nature. Psalm 119:105 says, “Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.” This is the verse that reminds me why I set aside time each day to read God’s Word. It guides my life decisions and helps me handle any challenge.
In Proverbs, I find wisdom that is so relevant to my daily life. Proverbs 2:6 tells me, “For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.” By immersing myself in these teachings, I gain insights that guide my actions and thoughts.
In the New Testament, the teachings of Jesus and the letters of Paul have impacted how I view love, grace, and community. Romans 12:2 encourages us not to conform to the patterns of this world but to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. That’s exactly what this reading plan does for me…. it renews my mind and spirit every single month.
Folks, if you’re considering starting a similar journey, I encourage you to set aside just a little time each day. It doesn’t have to be overwhelming. Just commit to it and watch how your perspective shifts over time and see what God has in store for you through His Word!
Y’all have a blessed day!
Starting Over, Again!
