Today is day 17 of the Global Bible Month Challenge and we’re in 1st John chapter 4. Verse 1 stood out this morning and it says,
“Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world.”
John urges us to be discerning. Not everything that claims to be from God is from God. We must test the messages we hear against the truth of Scripture. Does it align with Jesus’ teachings? Does it promote love, grace, and truth? Folks, don’t blindly accept any message, until you seek wisdom and let God’s Word be your guide.
