Thoughts from Ecclesiastes chapter 2

I’m sitting at my woodbench this afternoon finishing up on some crosses for West County, thinking about what I read this morning in Ecclesiastes chapter 2. Solomon, the wisest and wealthiest king, tried it all, laughter, wine, building projects, and accumulating wealth. His conclusion? It is all “Meaningless! A chasing after the wind.” You know, real joy isn’t found in what we do or what we have, but in gratefully receiving God’s gifts and enjoying our work as a blessing from Him. So folks, don’t exhaust yourself chasing empty pursuits. You can find joy in God’s presence and purpose today!

Y’all have a blessed evening!
