Daily Thoughts – 19 Dec 2025

I guess you’ve noticed that I have not posted in 11 days. Well, I caught a virus and it kind of kicked my butt. My doctor said just to let it run it’s course, about 7 to 10 days. Wednesday I was feeling worse than ever, so I visited my doctor and tested negative for the virus, but positive for an acute sinus infection, which is very common outcome from this virus. Now here is the bad news, she looked over at Kimmie and said “You don’t look like you’re feeling good” and tested her. She tested positive for the virus. She got a lot of meds and is doing good. Anyway, as I was reading today Proverbs 19:11 really hit home for me, “The discretion of a man makes him slow to anger, and his glory is to overlook a transgression.” It reminds me that the way I respond to conflicts and offenses defines my character and my relationships. Folks, we do have a choice. We can either lash out or take a step back, breathe, and reflect. James tells us to be slow to anger, which is an act of self-control that can transform our lives. Remember, when we choose grace over grievance, we not only reflect God’s love but also we develop a deeper connection with those around us.
