Morning folks, today started out like no other day I’ve ever had in 67 years, Elle woke me up by putting my cowboy hat on me and putting my baritone Ukulele in my hands. I strummed a few chords and she clapped, then took the Ukulele and my cowboy hat and put it on and went back into the living room. Then Kimmie comes back in and tells me the Edyn took my purple Bible off the book shelf and started reading it and said “My book, my book”. I’ll tell ya folks, it was a great way to start our day. I do wonder what today is going to bring, but the real question is “Am I ready for it”? As I’m writing this a verse from Psalm came to my mind where David said, “Children are a gift from the LORD; they are a reward from Him.” And I started thinking about most of the grandkids being here for the holidays, and our 13th one born on Christmas day. You know folks, grandchildren are more than just family, they’re living proof of God’s continued blessings, reminding us of the future, of hope, and of the enduring power of love. Folks, as grandparents we are to pray for them, and guide them to know the Lord, knowing they are truly a gift from above.
By the way that verse comes from Psalm 127:3, and yes, I had to look up the verse, since in my old age I can remember Scripture, but can’t remember where it is actually located in God’s Words, but that’s ok, as long as you remember His Word.
Y’all have a blessed day!
