Daily Thoughts – 5 Jan 2026

This afternoon my grandson Damien texted and ask me if I could come and get him and Emily and bring them to the house, they needed to do a few things, so I drove to Potosi to get them. On the way taking them back home, Kimmie said she needed a couple things from the store. So, we stopped by Walmart. Without thinking, I parked half way across the parking lot. I walked around the store more than I’ve done in the last couple months. Walked back to the Jeep, and got in. Your probably thinking… what’s the big deal! Well, the last couple of months I would stay in the Jeep or if I tried walking I didn’t get very far. When I got back in the Jeep, a Psalm came to my mind…”I will praise you, LORD, with all my heart, I will tell of all the marvelous things You have done.” So, let me tell you about a marvelous thing God has done for me!

For the last couple months I’ve been having problems walking and having massive pain in my knee and leg. My doctor said there isn’t much that can be done because it’s osteoarthritis causing the problem, and you’ll have to learn to deal with it. Saturday night I took it to Jesus, which I should have done months ago, but that’s a different story. As I was talking to Jesus what James said came to mind about calling for the church to come and pray for you so that you may be healed. Sunday I was going to do that, but Kimmie beat me to it, she ask for the prayer. After church Ed noticed that I was strutting around, and I walked down the stairs without realizing that I did. Folks, God healed my knee right then and there because of the earnest prayers of the righteous believers in our church. Our little church has seen the power and the wonderful results of prayer many times this year.

Folks, when we share our testimonies, you know, the marvelous things God has done for us, we not only strengthen our faith but also inspire others. Our stories become a beacon of hope and encouragement.

Remember, praising God with all our hearts and telling others about His incredible works isn’t just an act….it’s a lifestyle.

Y’all have a blessed evening!
