Daily Thoughts – 6 Jan 2026

You know folks, here lately it seems that my life revolves around Walmart. Yep, was there again today. Our daughter Megan needed some groceries and get her meds, and Kimmie needed some more things too. On the way there my change oil light came on so I decided while they where shopping, I would have my oil changed. They pulled my Jeep in and started working. While I was waiting Schmitty was telling me that he’s still looking for a church, but that was almost impossible because he works on Sundays. I mentioned to him about our Thursday night Bible study at Hardee’s and he really liked that idea and is going to come by. Then he asked me what’s my favorite Jesus story, as I was thinking about it, he told me his. As I was thinking I realized that I didn’t have a favorite Jesus, and I told Schmitty that, he looked at me and said…”Well, now you have something to write about tonight!” I smiled and replied “I guess I do!” He also needed a couple of cross necklaces. A little later an elderly man on oxygen in one motorized carts needed help getting to his truck, if you seen us it was the handicap helping the handicap. I gave him a cross necklace, his face lit up and we talked for around 20 minutes. It was a great time till the mechanic came and told me that they don’t carry the oil filter or oil for my Jeep, and give them a few minutes to get my Jeep back together. I guess I could have gotten upset over the situation, but I remembered something that Paul said, “Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them.” Well folks, that’s my day, y’all have a blessed evening!
