I know it’s in the middle of the night, but that seems when I get most thinking done. You know, quiet and alone, just you and God. As I’m meditating on what I’m reading, Psalm 1:1-3 came to my mind where David says…
“Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.”
This verses got me reflecting on the path we choose in life. It actually sets the tone for a life rooted in righteousness. It’s not just about avoiding negative influences, it’s about actively seeking what uplifts and nourishes our spirit, it’s a call to use discernment. It makes you ask yourself “Am I surrounding myself with what really matters. Am I engaging with those who uplift me spiritually, or am I are allowing negativity to seep into my life?”
When we delight in God’s Word, it becomes our source of strength, guidance, and becomes a joyful pursuit that shapes our thoughts and actions. With God’s truth rooted in us we become resilient, thriving even in challenging circumstances.
Folks, your choices shape your destiny. So, choose wisely, and you will flourish like that tree by the water, bearing fruit for all to see.
Y’all have a blessed day!
