This is from an evening devotional book that I’ve been writing. Don’t have a title for it yet. Just wanted to start sharing some of them with you.

Finding Rest in Him

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
Matthew 12:28-30

Reflection:
Today may have been filled with demands, worries, and tasks that drained your energy. Jesus offers a haven of rest. His yoke is not a heavy burden of rules, but a partnership where He carries the weight with you. As you lay down, release your burdens to Him, trusting in His promise of rest for your soul.

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, I come to you weary and in need of your peace. Thank you for your invitation to find rest in you. I give you all my worries, anxieties, and burdens. Help me to trust in your gentle and humble spirit. Fill me with your peace tonight and grant me restful sleep, so I can serve you refreshed tomorrow.
