Thoughts from Deuteronomy 2

As I was Deuteronomy chapter 2 this morning verse 7 caught my eye….

“For the LORD your God has blessed you in everything you have done. He has watched your every step through this great wilderness. During these forty years, the LORD your God has been with you, and you have lacked nothing.”

The last part of the verse says that God was with Israel through forty years in the wilderness, and they lacked nothing. That line should change how we change how we see the hard seasons.

Forty years, that’s a long time, yet the promise is precise… presence, guidance, provision. God didn’t abandon them to survive by chance. He accompanied, watched, and supplied what was needed for the journey and the work ahead.

Folks, the same God who kept Israel lacking nothing through their wilderness journey does the same for us as we travel through our wilderness journey. We just need to learn from the pace God sets, grow in trust where scarcity tempts us to panic, and remember, our wilderness journey teaches us endurance, dependence, and obedience. So, lean into God’s presence, and let Him guide you through your wilderness.

Y’all have a blessed day!
