Thoughts from Deuteronomy 5

We had a great service today at Bar None Church, we were packed full and you could feel the Holy Spirit moving. Here’s what’s sad, most people only come to church on what the world calls Easter and Christmas. I guess they think twice a year is good enough for them, but I got news for them… it isn’t!

Anyways, as I was reading Deuteronomy chapter 5 this evening verse 32 caught my eye.

“Therefore you shall be careful to do as the LORD your God has commanded you; you shall not turn aside to the right hand or to the left.”
Deuteronomy 5:32

When we treat God’s Word as our roadmap, small deviations become obvious. A tiny compromise here. A silent concession there. Over time the route changes and we wonder how we drifted.

Practical faith looks like decisive choices. We choose Scripture over trends, honesty over convenience, mercy over judgement. Folks, that doesn’t mean perfection. It means course-correcting quickly when we notice the drift. It means building patterns… prayer, Scripture, community… that’s what keeps us aligned with God’s will.

So, walk the straight path with intention. Be careful, stay on course and remember, the discipline is simple and the impact is eternal.

Y’all have a blessed evening
