Thoughts from Deuteronomy 6

Was a fairy busy today, running around getting paperwork done for my granddaughter and I even went to Walmart by myself…. yes it was an experience in itself! Tomorrow another run with my other daughter and yes, it’s Walmart also.

Anyways, as I read Deuteronomy chapter 6 today, verse 17 really cuts straight to the heart of faith.

“You shall diligently keep the commandments of the LORD your God, His testimonies, and His statutes which He has commanded you.”

Diligently….  not half-hearted, not occasional, but intentional and persistent. When you keep God’s testimonies and statutes, you shape your mind, your choices, and your family’s future around truth. It means choosing obedience in the small, boring moments as much as in the dramatic ones. It means resisting cultural drift. It means teaching your children and modeling consistency, because spiritual patterns are passed on by habit, not slogans.

Folks, start small, be consistent, and teach others by example. And remember, obedience practiced daily becomes faith lived fully.

Y’all have a blessed evening!
