This is morning as I started reading Psalm 119, I read the first section verses 1-8 called Aleph, here is something cool to know, in Judaism, the letter Aleph symbolizes the oneness and sovereignty of God. As I was reflecting on the questions, What lesson am I supposed to learn from this? How can I apply that lesson to my life? How does this help me to draw closer to God? I realized that I was going to need to focus on one verse or two besides looking at the overall lesson of the passage to see what God is teaching me.
Verse 1 says….,
“Blessed are those whose ways are blameless, who walk according to the law of the Lord.”
Psalm 119:1
What lesson am I supposed to learn from this? That true blessing and happiness come from living a life that honors God by living blamelessly and following His commands. It emphasizes the importance of obedience and integrity in my daily walk with God.
How can I apply that lesson to my life? By seeking to live in a way that reflects God’s standards and making biblical principles the foundation of my decisions by reading Scripture and allowing it to guide my actions, and confessing and turning away from sin when I recognize it in my life.
How does this help me to draw closer to God? Walking blamelessly and following God’s law invites His presence and blessing into my life. It fosters a deeper relationship because I show a heart that desires to honor Him. My obedience helps build trust, makes me more sensitive to His guidance, and opens me to experience His peace and love more fully. Through this, my fellowship with God grows stronger.
That’s a lot to reflect on for one day!
Y’all have a blessed evening!
