Thoughts From John 16:13

“However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.”
John 16:13

Jesus is promising the coming of the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of truth, who will guide us into all truth. As followers of Christ, we often face decisions, doubts, and uncertainties about life’s path. The Holy Spirit acts as our divine guide, leading us through complexities and helping us discern God’s will.

When Jesus says that the Spirit “will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come” is reassuring us that God’s guidance is not random or based on human opinion, but is perfectly aligned with God’s truth and will. The Spirit reveals God’s heart and leads us forward with certainty, even in situations where we cannot see the entire picture, and that God is always ahead of us, preparing the way and revealing things in God’s perfect timing.

Folks, when your faced with confusion or tough choices, invite the Holy Spirit to guide your thoughts and decisions. Spend time in prayer and Scripture, being open to the Spirit’s leading and wisdom, and trust that the Spirit’s guidance aligns with God’s truth and will bring clarity even when circumstances seem uncertain.

Have a blessed day!
