Today’s Thoughts – 29 May 2026

It’s Friday and I’m doing better. I’m still contemplating about making more than one post a day. I’m just going to let God guide me on that. Today’s journey through Psalm 119 verse 75 got me reflecting about trusting in God’s Word and His ways, even when life brings challenges that make us question His goodness or His plans. Verse 75 says…

“I know, O LORD, that Your judgments are right, And that in faithfulness You have afflicted me.”

When we face trials, it’s natural to feel confused or discouraged. But, by recognizing that God’s discipline is right helps us to hold onto faith during difficult times. It assures us that these hardships are not random but purposeful, shaping our character, strengthening our dependence on Him, and guiding us toward His perfect will.

Folks, when you are going through trials, pause and ask God to help you see His loving hand and purpose behind the difficulty. And remember, even though God’s judgments may bring hardship, they are always just and done in faithfulness to lead us to growth, maturity, and ultimately closer fellowship with Him.

Have a blessed evening!

  1. The trials are meant to grow us closer to God not push us further away. We have a choice to do either one. It’s kind of like a spoiled child that gets everything they want and never get disciplined. They rant and rave when they don’t get what they want and they make everyone around them miserable. If we never went through trials or got disciplined by God then how do we expect to grow closer to Him? The problem is never “does God love me?” Instead the question is how much do we love God? You can’t really love someone you can’t trust and who better to trust than God?
