45 Years!

45 years with Kimmie! Folks, that’s not an anniversary… it’s a testimony!

1 Corinthians 13 talks about love that bears, believes, hopes, endures. For us, those words became a daily rule. We didn’t just fall in love once. We chose love in the middle of arguments, late nights, sick days, and tight budgets.

There were seasons that tested everything. We learned to listen before we judged. We learned to forgive fast and hold steady. Ecclesiastes says a threefold cord is not easily broken, for us that’s me, Kimmie, and God braided together. That braid kept us when storms came.

Commitment is practical. It’s humility more than romance. It’s showing up when the feelings fade. It’s prayer at the kitchen table and honest conversations that hurt but heal. Jesus said build on rock; we built on faith and on each other, and the foundation held.

So today me and Kimmie celebrate more than an anniversary. We honor a life shaped by Scripture and by choice. We give thanks for the years behind and for the faith that will carry the years ahead.

Happy 45th Kimmie! Here’s to the next chapter!
